Sunday 25 March 2012

Golly, what a weekend of glorious sunshine here in north Norfolk.  This means the washing line has been made use of and the kids have managed to get out in the garden to shoo away the 'being stuck inside' cobwebs.  The hyacinths are giving a wonderful scent in the garden, as much as I love them, they are too smelly for indoors and so I have just one in the kitchen with some daffs from the garden.  The tulips are budding, they won't be long in saying 'hello'.

I've managed to get some crafty things done, having been shuffling some die cuts from the SU top note die that I had cut out (from the SU brights collection DSP 12x12 paper stack), mojo struck and I used some of them up - I've a pile of candy cane wrappers as well just waiting to be glued down!

Having played with the heart stamp from the Perfect Postage stamp set the other day, I stamped some of the rabbits with their little balloon and the candle cake and punched them out using the postage stamp punch to make some little birthday cards (I've a craft fair in a couple of weeks).

So I can layer my punched out rabbits and candle cakes, I made use of the scallop square punch.

And, voila, one card also using the ribbon punch (I really, really like this punch!) and the sentiments used on the cards are from the Happiest Birthday Wishes stamp set (Hostess  set).

On this one, I trimmed down the Top Note die cut, after all you don't have to use a whole one!

I've made a few in this style for the craft fair, using other colour papers from the DSP paper stack.

Oh, before I finish up, I'm trialling some white wine!  I haven't had this one before, kindly donated by a friend  :)

Happy crafting :)
