Feet up!

A baking free day today, well of the food variety. Brian went off to do a march with the Air Cadets, the kids have been somewhat quiet (not sure what has gotten into them). Ben and Morgan have spent time playing Harry Potter Lego on the Xbox, it's great when they play together. Ben is going to miss Morgan when he goes off to school in January (me too!). Genny, finally glued her to the sofa to do her homework, earlier rather than finding her trying to do it at bedtime when she should be off to zzzzzz land.

I have managed to settle down and get on with Chicken Soup #21. Got the distress inks out, now I have had my indoctrination into using them at the last ATDML retreat :) I still managed to get mucky, but that is part of the fun right! My Lili of the Valley stamp, an Autumn Leaves one and ta-da. Also had a bit of Sakura gel pen too. Just coloured in using Promarkers and Copics.

I've got some Catslife Press stamps on the website, think I am going to have to downsize the numbers online ;) well that may be too late, there is something about the meowy Christmas one!

Time to raid the freezer now, tummy is giving me grief!

Phew!

Golly, today has been baking day. I made the Christmas cake yesterday, it cooled overnight and is now wrapped, fed, and in its tin. It'll get the odd feed during the week until marzipan day which may be next Saturday, we'll see how it goes!

Then, found some bread that really couldn't be fed to the kids unless they had loads and loads of sarnies today, so I made a bread pudding, not that they like it but I know someone who does! Finally, tested out a cookie recipe as that is what we are doing at Guides next week. They have come out rather nice, have been iced a bit (not by me) and I'm not exactly sure how many are now left! Some have had wool threaded through holes and hung in various places, but still, I don't hold out much hope of them being there for long.

Souped. Recipe #20 is up and so I have had a play, we have the Die-namics tree die which is rather lush and just runs through the cuttlebug with ease. Had to use my Dasher stamp, he is so gorgeous. Found a Papertrey set (forgot I had them, whoops), added some little snowflakes duly embossed as I wanted them to stand out a bit more. I have also used some stickles, you have to have some glitter, now don't you. Basically, I wanted the leaves of my tree to be Christmassy! Hope you like it.

Yeah... yeah... yeah...

I know, it's November already. I have been around, doing stuff... Guides, work, home and all that!! But, this last weekend I spent the whole of it, from Friday lunchtime to Sunday afternoon...... at the fantastic ATDML retreat, with speshal buddies and have a fanTAStic time.

Look... cutting up paper :)

I was productive, did classes, finished them all as well... so here is some of my productivitiness...

We also had some rather splendid nosh....

I also made a few cards, indulged in some G&T and utilised the jaw muscles for chit-chat. Also had a couple of late nights hence having Monday off to 'recuperate'!!!

Oh, and for Chicken Soup #19... shame you can't do scary voiceovers (although maybe you can I just don't know how)!

Toodle pip for now,
